Colonial Motor Inn is located on nine acres of rural property with views to the surrounding hills.
Property Features:The Colonial Motor Inn boasts of a bar and restaurant located onsite that offers delicious meals and means for guests to socializ. Guests are free to use the outdoor swimming pool and lounge area. Laundry and iron facilities are also available while room service is also provided upon request.
Accommodation Features:
Each unit of the property has its own private bathroom with television set. There is also hairdryer and alarm clock, as well as complete beddings and linens for guests' convenience. Cots for small children is also provided upon request of the guest.
The Bushmans Bistro, a fully licenced restuarant and bar, is situated on the premises, and opens Monday to Saturday nights from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 pm. Choose your own steak and cook yourself on our Chargrill or we will cook it for you. Other choices include seafood entrees or a la carte meals. Our solar heated pool is great for quick dip before dinner or an early morning swim. Enjoy the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of the Colonial Motor Inn. Property:The property is located along the Great Western Highway, close by the scenic Blue Mountains Heritage National Park which offers opportunities for bushwalking, bird watching, and animal viewing. Guests can also organize picnics while in the area. While staying at the Colonial Motor Inn, guests shouldn't miss riding the historical Zig Zag Railway, located in Clarence. This convict-built transportation provides the most opportunities for them to enjoy views of the spectacular Blue Mountains and the Lithgow Valley. Also located close to the property is the Blast Furnace Park, which displays items related to the area's once dominant iron and steel industry.

Hello Ann, Thank you for your time. As you advised it was only tiny things that bothered you, not all rooms have hair dryers, unfortunately a spare was not available at the time of your stay. Spares are generally kept in the office and these were borrowed for use a few days prior with non return by former guests. We apologize for this inconvenience. Our restaurant is not open on public holidays however was open during the rest of your stay of which you would have been welcome to utilize. Communication is very important between all parties. All rooms do have a comprehensive tv guide. Room 34 that you stayed in does gets exceptionally warm. Unfortunately rooms do take time to warm up and cannot instantly heat a room. The room also has extra blanket if required for the bed. We have a licensed bistro onsite. All promotional information etc is kept at reception within easy reach and viewing for incoming guests. The motel has extensive hot water units. At the time of your visit the motel was full and demand for hot water was high as the the guests staying were mostly sporting groups who tend to use a lot of hot water during showers. We would have been happy to give you any information required if it had been requested however no request had been communicated by yourself at the time of overnight stay. Management |

hello Janeen We no longer keep iron/ironing boards in the rooms due to past experience where hot irons have been left on the carpet, chairs and furniture burning these as well as some theft. We had 3 irons stolen and an ironing board all in a 2 week period. We do however have a guest laundry which is open at all times.
